Following Jasmine’s Netball Journey

Introducing Jasmine

For the past three years, our team has been supporting Jasmine, a young netball player who is now part of the London Pulse pathway. In that time she’s worked with several of our practitioners, from chiropractic in the treatment room to strength and conditioning in The Shed.

We’re proud to play a small part in her progress, so we asked Jasmine to tell her story in her own words. This is the first of what we hope will be regular updates, so you can follow along as her season unfolds.

Six Years on Court

Hi, I’m Jasmine. I’m 17 and I’ve been playing netball for the last six years.

When I first started, I knew very little about the sport and never imagined the impact it would have on my life. Over the years I fell in love with the game, and I became more and more passionate about developing my skills and pushing myself to compete at a higher level.

Netball has given me the chance to meet and play alongside people from a wide range of backgrounds. Those connections have helped me grow as a player, and they’ve shaped me as a person too. The sport has pushed me outside my comfort zone and helped me build confidence, both on and off the court.

Where I Am Now

I’m currently part of the London Pulse pathway, competing within the U23 NXT Roses programme.

For anyone new to netball: London Pulse is a Netball Super League team that runs England Netball’s performance pathway for London and the South East, developing young players who could go on to play at the top level.

The Team Behind Me

Alongside my training and competition commitments, I’ve been coming to Active Health Clinics for the past three years. I work closely with:

Their support has played a vital role in helping me stay physically prepared, recover effectively and perform at my best. The expertise and care I’ve received have been an important part of my development as an athlete, and have helped me keep pursuing my goals in netball.
